We had a big storm and in the morning I saw this outside my window.
My favorite tree!
Luckily it did not hit anything coming down.
My favorite tree!
Luckily it did not hit anything coming down.
Once we cut the little part still attached it looked as though there was a crack already there (half of the ripped off end seemed as though it had been exposed to the elements for a while) and the high winds just finished it off.
My husband and I, mostly my husband, were able to get almost all of it in the yard waste bin. Besides the exposed part of the tree it as if it never happen.
Sad, but so much better than if it had crashed down on the roof of your house or car! you wouldn't have wanted a weak limb getting any heavier before it broke!
ReplyDeleteYikes ... hope no one was hurt. How come it fell? Weather?
ReplyDeleteHappy WW! Come check out some of my photo submissions for the Disney Treasures flickr group: http://tinyurl.com/ya7rk33
Weather can be a pain! I hope you didn't lose power!
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame, it looks like a lovely tree. I hope it recovers well.
ReplyDeleteIt must have been weakened in the winter storms and this spring one was too much for it. Glad it didn't cause any damage.
ReplyDeleteMy WW link for you
Oops. We lost a small tree in the back yard a couple years back during a hurricane. You look at trees differently when they could potentially fall on your house.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW~
Great WW shots! I had a similar tree branch in my yard too!
ReplyDeleteOh no! That is going to start being a common sight around here too....we are creeping into tornado season. :(
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
Oh no! Thank goodness it didn't hit anything. Hope your favorite tree survives!

ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you didn't get hurt, or your property damaged! Please take care!
