Review: Silicone No Tie Shoelaces

I really do not like to tie my shoes.  To avoid tying shoes (or because I always seem to be in a rush) I usually put on shoes that are slip-ons.  I do enjoy wearing tennis as they are comfortable but I only wear them if I will be doing lots of walking and make the time to tie the show laces.  I was sent a set of Silicone No Tie Shoelaces.  You just pop them in the shoelace hole and now I don't have to tie shoelaces!  Below is a video of the installation and use of the Silicone No Tie Shoelaces.

Review: Loupe Led Magnifying Glass with Light - 3 Intercha

The three lens of the Loupe Led Magnifying Glass with Light are so easy to take on and off.  The led light is underneath where the lens are clicked in so the light shines perfectly on the item you are viewing through the lens.  As the lens become smaller the magnification increases so the smallest lens magnified the most.  The Loupe Led also comes with a velvet bag to carry it all plus a cloth to wipe down the lens.

Review: 32 Oz Live Infinitely Infuser Water Bottle

We drink mostly water at home and while out but sometimes water can be a bit plain.  I don't like artificial flavors so if I want flavor I want it to be from real food.  I was very excited and my daughter even more so to try 32 Oz Live Infinitely Infuser Water Bottle.  I found a great deal on organic strawberries so we have been enjoying strawberry infused water.

This was the first infuser water bottle I have ever tried and I am hooked.  The fruit and/or vegetable is placed in the center basket and the way the infuser is designed all water flows through the fruit/vegetable before exiting the water bottle.  That means that every drop of water is infused with the fruit/vegetables.  It is so essay to use so we have enjoyed strawberry infused water daily since it arrived.
We are enjoying the 32 Oz Live Infinitely Infuser Water Bottle so much we will need to get another one soon.

Review: Aposon 1025-Black Sport Watch

My husband loves watches so he was excited it try out the Aposon 1025-Black Sport Watch.  He had been wearing it daily for about a week when we went on Spring break.  He likes the watch so much he took it on our trip to San Diego.
He told me that he likes how easy the numbers are to read and lights up so you can see at night.  I found the watch was also very easy to change to the correct time.  (I am the one who set the correct times on watches always.)
I was actually going to use the watch myself but since my husband liked it so much I let him have it. He is wearing it for work, vacation (LEGOLAND, beach, shopping, running), and weekends!

Review: Digital Oral Thermometer by Nanci Perrin

Luckily no one has had a fever so I have only used the digital oral thermometer to measure a baseline temperature.  It is a good idea to know what your regular temperature is.  My natural temperature is in about 97.4 F so if my temperature was 100 F I know that is 2.6 F above my normal rather than less than 2 F above the average normal temperature.
This thermometer was easy to use and understand.  The thermometer is suppose to have a special beep to let you know it is measuring a fever on someone but sick no one has been ill I have not heard it yet.  I do like that feature of beeping to let me know that it s considered a fever. The thermometer also comes with a carrying case, that way you can carry it in your purse or baby bag and know it will stay clean in the case until it is needed.

Review: #Pashoshibaby Bandana Bibs

If you have a drooling baby you know how their clothes get wet and how the moisture irritates their skin.  To save having to change and wash clothes so often, have your baby wear a #pashoshibaby bandana bib.  The #pashoshibaby bandana bib is cotton (with polyester backing).   The cotton soaks up the drool and the backing keeps the clothes and your baby protected.  I was sent a set of four fun #pashoshibaby bandana bibs plus bonus pacifier clip and bottle strap.  The front of the bib is organic cotton and I must say very cute patterns,  The back is so soft I want to keep touching so it will feet soft against a baby's skin too.  The back is attached with three sets of snaps in a row.  That allows you to adjust to a smaller or larger neck as the baby grows making the bibs useable for a longer time

Review: #liveinfinitely Muscle Stick

I am a swimmer (I have been going at least three times a week since December) and my husband is a long distance runner.  We both have sore muscles sometimes.  Now that I have a #liveinfinitely muscle stick I have been massaging those sore muscles.  The handles are quite comfortable and the rollers move easily as I massaged over my muscles.  I like how I can change the deepness of the massage by changing the amount pressure I use.  My daughter also had to run pacers during PE this week (I am not quite clear what pacers are but they do make sore muscles.)  I used the #liveinfinitely muscle stick gently on her legs and she said it really helped.

Review: SteadyDoggie Insulated Water Bottle

I prefer to avoid plastic whenever possible.  I have been changing my reusable water bottles to metal and glass.  I was very excited to try out SteadyDoggie Insulated Water bottle.  When I drink out of plastic I can taste it so I definitely prefer to avoid plastic.  Most water bottle come with one type of lid or another but this bottle comes with two lids but they can be used three ways: 1. Use sport lid (with spout) and just pour with out having to remove the lid. 2. Use sport lid with the straw so you can drink without tilting.  3. Handle lid with carabiner (lid to use when using with hot liquids).  I used the sport lid with the straw the most.  I added ice with my water and left the water bottle in my car all day, and in the late afternoon the water was still cold and no condensation on the outside.  I have been enjoying the water bottle but my kids like it even more.  My oldest claimed it today since she is feel ill today.

Review: FloAthletika Yoga Towel

One the of the ways I like to exercise or be active is to do yoga.   I have never been to an actual class but I do enjoy doing yoga from a DVD.  In the past I just used a beach towel on my carpet.  Now I have an even better solution: the FloAthletika Yoga Towel .  The towel has silicon on one side so it grips the floor and doesn't slip around.  I tried it on a wood floor and carpet and it gripped great on both.  The towel can be used with a yoga mat but as I don't have a yoga mat I don't have experience with the towel in that way.  For me the towel works great and when I needed too it is easy to wash.  I just tossed it into the wash with my other towels and just let it air dry (which was very fast)!  My daughter liked the towel so much she used it to meditate and plans on using it when she does yoga too.

Review: White Chalk Marker by Chalko

I have never used a chalk marker before so I was so excited to try these out.  I love the look of chalk but my hands always feel so dry and itchy after using chalk so I haven't used chalk in years.  The pens were so easy to use.  The first time the pen is used you have to do a few steps to get them working.  It is very easy, I pressed the tip down while the pen was pointing up, flipped the pen so it was pointing down and pressed the tip down and up until the liquid chalk flowed into the tip.  The Chalko White Chalk Marker set also came with some labels to write on with the markers.  I used them to label some food in my panty.  I also used the markers to write directly on glass and metal jar lids. These pens were great now I just need to get some colored chalk markers for even more fun.

Homemade Waffle Cones

My husband has been on an ice cream in waffle cone kick for a while now.  He loves finding local ice cream shops near us or anywhere he is traveling.  Since we went nonGMO over two years ago we have not had ice cream cones at home (cake or waffle).  Well I decided to get him a waffle cone maker for our anniversary.  Now I am not sure how many people would love a waffle maker as an anniversary gift but my husband does.  He was so excited as soon as he opened it, especially since I had bought three cartons of our favorite ice cream to go with it.  I read lots of reviews all over the internet and on Amazon.com and in the end I chose Chef's Choice 838 Waffle Cone Express Ice Cream Cone Maker.  I have used the waffle maker over five times in the last three weeks and it works great every time.  The first time is a little scary and takes a little longer (or at least it did for me because I kept checking for doneness on the cone).  Now I know exactly what setting to use (just past 3 so I don't see the three) and count 20 seconds after the green light turns back on.  I pull the cooked cone out onto the clean towel and roll over the mold, lastly I pinch the end with the towel to stop ice cream drips, or at least most of the drips.  What even taste better is to scoop the ice cream into the cone while it is still warm, it just brings it to an even higher level of yumminess!

Review: Cutielunch Reusable Food Pouches

Disclosure: I received the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
My kids love to snack so I need easy ways to have healthy snacks for on the go and for school lunches.  My girls both become ill if they ingest GMOs (genetically modified organisms) so it can be hard to find safe foods for them to eat.  One ingredients we avoid is sugar.  We can eat cane sugar but if the ingredient listed is sugar I have to assume it could be beet sugar which most is genetically modified.  To avoid iffy ingredients I make many stuff from scratch so I know what is in it.  My girls love puree and it is messy to just put in a lunch or even try and eat.  For Thanksgiving we roasted some pumpkins and my girls love to just eat it plain.  I put some in a Cutielunch Reusable Food Pouch and plan on adding it to their lunch tomorrow or maybe bring as a snack when we visit Santa today.  It was so easy to add the pumpkin to the pouch.  I did overfill the first one and had to scoop a little out to close.  The next pouch was even easier to fill.  I can't wait to fill them with smoothies when the weather is warmer (it is in the low 30s so cold stuff is not on the menu right now).  I could fill them with smoothies and keep in the freezer until right before school or heading out.
I am also planning on making some up for my husband to use on his long runs.  He is training for an Ironman and some of his training runs are over 20 miles.  When you run that far you have to refuel and refuel with healthy and easy to digest foods.

Final words:  A great pouch to use, it is easy to clean (I hand washed but it is dishwasher safe), easy to fill, and most importantly easy to eat from.  I would recommend!

New Annie's Bunny Tails Macaroni & Cheese

I was sent a surprise box of Annie's new Bunny Tails. They created the new product as an April fools joke but so many people loved it they turned it into an actual product.  The girls both loved it and can't wait until it is sold locally so we can purchase a few boxes.

Disclosure: I sent a complimentary box and all opinions are my own.

Inside Out Movie Review

My family and I were so excited for the opportunity to view Inside Out on Monday!  The movie was simply a great Pixar movie.  My oldest named Inside Out her favorite Pixar movie of all time and My husband told me that we are buying the movie the day it comes out on DVD.  Before I get to the movie I have to mention the fantastic short Lava that plays right before Inside Out.  Lava is about a volcano looking for someone to love.  The song is so beautiful you want to cry and once you add in the spectacular animation you will become at least misty eyed!  I would go to the movie just to watch the short!  That being said Inside out is just as fantastic.  I might be a little bias, as I grew up near San Francisco, but Pixar made the Golden Gate bridge and San Francisco even more beautiful.  Now most of the movie takes place inside Riley's mind (an 11 year old that is moved from Minnesota to San Francisco.)  We get to meet her emotions, Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, and Anger.  (The casting was perfect!)  As you can imagine moving away from your home and all your friends in the Midwest and moving to San Francisco, which is very different, would be hard for an 11 year old.  We get to see how her emotions interact and how they affect what Riley does.  I don't want to give too much of the movie away so I will just tell you to go and see it!  Take your whole family, from your little ones to Grandparents, it is a movie everyone can watch and will love.

Disclosure: My family and I attended a free preview of the movie.  All opinions are my own.

Ice Cream Cruise in Seattle

Sunday for Mother's Day my husband surprised us with the Seattle Ice Cream cruise. It was beautiful to cruise around Lake Union and eat ice cream. The cruise is only on Sunday's and last a little under an hour. They do only take cash for the cruise and the ice cream for sale in the galley so make sure you have enough. It was $36 for two adults and two children plus extra for and ice cream treats you want to have. We got to see Seattle from a different view and loved. It was the perfect treat for Mother's Day!
